Dr. David Oyedepo said “it is natural to be challenged but unscriptural to be defeated”. The challenge that you are going through now does not describe or define you.  It does not determine your future.  Your true description and definition is in the word of God.  The real picture of your future is in the scriptures.  What you know and see from scriptures is vital to how you live here on the earth and where you end-up in eternity.  God once told Abraham:

“And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.” – Genesis 13:14-17

Brethren, whatever you can see from where you are right now is what God has given to you. It does not matter how naturally impossible things look.  What is naturally impossible is supernaturally simple before God. Imagine God telling a man of seventy five years that He (God) would make the man’s seed as the dust of the earth comparable to the dust of the earth when in the natural sense the seventy five year old had no single child at the moment.  In the agenda of God, the land was already given to Abraham and his seed from the foundation of the earth; all Abraham needed to do to take possession is to see what God was saying and agree with Him.

Friends, Abraham believed God despite the fact that he neither saw who was talking to him (physically) no had a physical Bible as we have today.  The least believer today is in a better position because we have the story (antecedents of God’s manifestations and operations) and the physical Bible (available in different forms and versions).  We can make reference to the past, we can draw inspirations from the written word.

You are not created for trouble; you are wired for blessing.  You are not created to suffer; you are an agent of God’s blessing to the world.  The pipe bearing water can never be dry.  You are ordained a distributor of God’s blessing; you cannot be bereft of what you distribute.  Never allow the enemy to suggest to you that any contrary or negative situation around you is your final destination.  Your “going through” is only the route to your breakthrough it is not your life terminus.

The story of Abraham in our text today is instructive; imagine a nomadic, childless and homeless seventy five year old who was on a journey to “…where I will shew thee..” purportedly yielding to the instructions of the unseen God.  Genesis 12:1.  However, that was the beginning of transgenerational blessing and success story. It did not look like it then; it eventually and eternally became it.  Abraham was wired for blessing; he was empowered for success, the seed of blessing and success was in him.   The situation around you today may be saying something contrary to blessing, the circumstances you may have found yourself may be far from what success is known to be. As long as you are connected to God; it will definitely end in testimony.  The more your situation appears hopeless, the sweeter your testimony when it manifests.  The more helpless people think you have become because of the situation confronting you; the more glorious your testimony when it manifests.

Please make this confession of faith with me: “Everything shall turn to me for a testimony! Everything around me that looks like mockery is turning to glory; shame and reproach is turned to double honor for me. My past failure is turned to outstanding success story!  I am indeed blessed, I am a blessing!”
