By the help of the Holy Spirit, Apostle Paul made a strong declaration which is also a startling revelation:
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself to me.” – Galatians 2:20
Many believers only look at the beneficial aspect of this scripture just like they do of other verses of the Bible without paying attention to the responsibility dimension. The scripture could be engaged for healing, health and all-round security against satanic assault but being crucified with Christ and living by the faith of the Son of God is being totally sold out to Him.
- It is crucifying any desire that keeps us from following Jesus Christ;
- It is making Him and His interest on the earth our reason for living;
- It is living for Him not living for things.
Living for things makes a cheap slave of things but living for God and the interest of His kingdom is the foundation for kingdom greatness. The same Apostle Paul the great said:
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” – Philippians 1:21
Those that are totally sold out to God, go all out for Him. Anyone or anything that stands against your desire to pleasing God is not your friend. Anyone or anything that poses as a sin partner or a sin equipment should be discarded like an infected dirty rag. Getting totally sold out to God is the cure for struggling with sin and unnecessary weights.
Anyone that sins with you will soon sin against you.
