Words are seeds.  Luke 8:11.  What harvest is to natural seed is what wonders is to spiritual seed (which is the word of God).  The quality of seeds defines both the quality and (oftentimes) quantity of harvest.  In the same way, the type of seeds determine the type of harvest.  Every natural seed needs good soil to germinate and bring forth harvest so also spiritual seeds.  What soil is to natural seed is what heart is to spiritual seed.

“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” – Matthew 13:23

Every spiritual seed needs good ground to bring forth fruit (wonders) of a hundredfold, sixty, or thirty.  It should be noted that the difference in output is a function of understanding; a hundredfold understanding will produce a hundredfold fruit, sixtyfold understanding will yield sixtyfold fruit while thirtyfold understanding will produce thirtyfold fruit.  A good ground is defined as an honest heart.

“But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” – Luke 8:15

An honest heart is one that is devoid of such encumbrances like malice, un-forgiveness, wrath, worry, anxiety, cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and pleasures of this life which represents the ‘chocking thorns’.  An honest heart is also one that is able to breed spiritual understanding with patience.

In the shared responsibilities between man and God to work wonders by the Word of God; God’s part is the supply of the incorruptible seed.  The seed is not just incorruptible, the seed has in-built power to bring forth fruit.  It is man’s responsibility to supply an honest heart capable of breeding spiritual understanding.  As believers, if we can keep our hearts from the ‘choking thorns’, we will always have a harvest of wonders.  It is so refreshing that the least a word from God can produce in terms of wonders is thirtyfold.  This is amazing!

For instance, no matter what anyone does to you to stir the water of offense in you, refuse to be offended; offense is a thorn.  Refuse bitterness, malice, and un-forgiveness; these are dangerous thorns that choke the word in the heart.  A wise man says: “unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die”.   Remember, the word brings forth fruit with patience; don’t allow the enemy and the environment to inject you with the “dope” of worry and anxiety.  You are next in line for a miracle.

It shall turn to you for a testimony!
