“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6
Jesus Christ is not an option; He is the only ACCESS to the Father. He is the only ESCAPE from the peril of the last days (which is sin). It is important to know that Jesus Christ did not come to the world just to perform signs, wonders and diverse miracles. Jesus Christ came to this world to save us from sins.
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21
Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Our reflection should not just be limited to acknowledging Jesus Christ as the reason for the season. We should reflect on His mission to the world vis a vis our individual position. Jesus Christ came to eliminate the sinful nature from man. No matter how morally good someone is until the sinful nature is eliminated, that individual is not free from the dominion of sin. Jesus Christ came to empower us to live above sin. Romans 6:14
The unending Power to reign over sin; the man of sin (i.e the devil) and his kingdom came and dwell among us and we can see His glory (if we choose to). John 1:14. The best way to celebrate is to locate yourself in the WAY by accepting Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior not just Savior of the world or Savior of your Church.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior; the best way to celebrate is to reflect, and take stock; “Am I truly walking in the Light”. I John1:6-7.
Self-examination is the best form of examination but sincerity is the rule of the game. If we need to confess and forsake; it is the wisest thing to do to prepare for the glorification awaiting us in 2019.
Remember, being in Church is not equal to being in Christ. II Corinthians 5:17. Make no provision for the flesh. Don’t be caught up in the peril of the end-time.
