Waiting and doubting is not scriptural patience.  It does not matter how long we have being waiting, if doubting accompanies our waiting; the moment of waiting is a wasted time.  The Bible says that anyone that doubts will not receive anything from God.

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” – James 1:6-8

Scriptural patience is waiting and trusting.  It is taking an active rest in the Lord from anxiety, fear, doubt and unbelief. Environmental factors, situations and circumstances could want to make you fret, anxious, fear and even waver in doubt and unbelief; always remember that the word of God is older than everything and the word of God will survive everything.  John 1:1; Isaiah 40:8.  It is clearly settled that what the word of God says is what will stand.  The Psalmist said:

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.” – Psalm 37:3-7

Brethren the psalmist prescribed that trusting God; doing good, committing one’s way to God and delightsome obedience to His instructions as we wait patiently for Him. God will surely give you the desires of your heart and bring His plans to pass in our lives.  Never get anxious through unscriptural comparison or by mockeries from people and even unusual/unexpected quarters.  Your testimony is around the corner.

Dr. David Oyedepo said: “when people are mocking you, God is busy making you”.  Commit yourself to God; entrust everything; your life, job, possessions, family and future to His control and guidance.  He is working out the best for you.  Get excited as you serve and obey Him!
