THE POWER OF CHOICE III

THE POWER OF CHOICE III

The power of choice is so great that it can silence the wickedness of the devil cheaply without strive or struggle; it is so strong that it can move the Almighty into action.  As a matter of fact, God gave man the power of choice and He respects anything that man does with that power whether for or against Him (God).

In an extremely wicked world, Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.  Genesis 6:8.  The reason Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord could be found in the next verse:

“These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generation, and Noah walked with God.” – Genesis 6:9.  Despite what others were doing all around him; Noah chose to love God, he chose to obey God, he chose to agree with God.  Only those who agree with God can really walk with God.  Amos 3:3

Noah’s choice to obey God was amplified in the subsequent events surrounding the building of the Ark.  He chose to believe the Invisible by doing the ridiculous that was commanded; building an Ark on a dry land when it had never rained.  His neighbors would have scoffed at him, mocked him as he was building the Ark; he chose to move with fear to obey the instructions of God rather than pay attention to their mockery.  Hebrews 11:7

Noah’s choice preserved not just his family but the entire human and animals on the earth.  His choice endeared him to God and moved the Hand of the Lord in his favor.

As believers in Jesus Christ, every choice you make is either moving you towards perfection or taking you away from it.  Every choice you make is either demonstrating your love for God or your disregard for His love.

Choose spirituality over carnality; the former tends to life and peace, the latter tends to death.  Romans 8:6.  The contrary forces in your environment notwithstanding, you can make it, if you choose to.  There is enormous power in your will when it is lined up with God.  You can do more than what you think.  Apostle Paul had a revelation of this when he said:

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” – Philippians 4:13.

Choose to pray without ceasing; choose to study and meditate on the word continuously; choose never to forsake the assembling together of the saints and choose to walk in the light of scriptures.

Scriptures for meditation:  Genesis 6:1-9; Amos 3:3; Hebrews 11:7

Jesus is Lord!
