THE FORCE OF HOPE PART VI
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” – Romans 5:2-5
We are justified by faith. We inherit the promise through faith and patience. Hebrews 6:12. Hope keeps us standing without wavering until the promise is delivered. The contrary situations and circumstances that we go through build in us patience and patience create in us experience and experience works hope. Hope makes not ashamed.
Brethren, it is real wisdom to keep our hope in God and His word alive; doing so keeps us away from shame and keeps shame away from us. The Psalmist said that those that look unto God will never see shame.
“They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.” – Psalm 34:5
Friends, just like any decision we are instructed to make from scriptures, hope is a choice to make but hope can be powered by the Holy Spirit. We feed our hope with the word of God but we can also ask for the help of the Holy Spirit to power our hope. We can do so in prayer and even coupled with fasting. The Holy Spirit has the fountain of hope. He will channel the fountain to any believer who genuinely ask Him.
Hope is one of the three pillars identified in I Corinthians 13:13. It is a scriptural truth that anything that is not of faith is sin. Romans 14:23. It is also a scriptural truth that anything that is done outside hope will fail to deliver result. I Corinthians 9:10.
May your hope be powered by the Holy Spirit! You will not see shame.
