THE BASICS OF THE FUNDAMENTAL IV
Faith is the dominant force of the kingdom. The Bible says:
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;” – II Peter 1:5
We have established from scriptures that the mouth is the trigger through which we shoot the ‘gun of faith’. Mark 11:23-24. Even if we pray believing, we still need to “say” what we believe to have what we believe.
There are two levels of saying; vocal saying and non-vocal saying. The two are equally important to faith. The woman with the issue of blood in the Bible engaged non-vocal saying, she got the result of her “saying” and Jesus said that, that was faith.
“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.” – Matthew 9:20-22
It is possible for one person to have two different sayings in his/her vocal and non-vocal sayings. What is said verbally and what is said inaudibly must align to produce the result of faith. The Umpire (God) checks the heart first.
“I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” – Jeremiah 17:10
Brethren, our vocal “saying” must not just be consistent with our non-vocal saying, it must be continuous. Someone may ask, how long should I keep saying? We must keep saying and keep believing until the physical manifestation of our desire. Faith and patience work together.
“But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” Luke 8:15
Anxiety is an expression of unbelief.
“For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” – Hebrews 4:3
Friends, we are not just to keep saying it, we must keep saying it boldly. Dr. David Oyedepo said; “if you will not say it boldly, God will not confirm it openly”. Saying it boldly may definitely attract some kind of mockery but mockery of men is actually a raw material for the making of God. If you want God to make you, disregard the mockery of men.
The Apostles were speaking the Word of God boldly and God was giving them testimonies of what they were saying.
“Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.” – Acts 14:3
Faith is conceived in the heart; the heart is the womb where we carry the pregnancy of faith, faith is delivered through the mouth by words. It is not just speaking but bold speaking. If it cannot be declared or confessed boldly; it has not been believed truly!
Your bold speaking will begin to command living testimonies henceforth in Jesus Name.
