THE BASICS OF THE FUNDAMENTAL III
Faith is it! Every believer is a product of faith. We are saved through faith. It means that without faith, we are not saved.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” – Ephesians 2:8
Faith is not just of the heart, faith needs verbal expression to secure divine attention for supernatural manifestation. Jesus said:
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” – Mark 11:22-24
The God’s kind of faith is the faith that does not just store the Word in the heart and meditate on the same; it is the faith that gives vocal expression through the mouth, what is believed in the heart. The scripture above is very instructive, we can have whatsoever, if we will believe with the heart and say with the mouth.
Brethren, after having loaded your heart with what God says in His Word concerning your desire; it is time to start saying those things in prayer, declaration and confession. It is through the mouth we pull the trigger of faith to have what we desire. Dr. David Oyedepo said; “if it is too big for one’s mouth to declare, it is too big for one’s eyes to see”. He also said; “a closed mouth is a closed destiny”.
The bible calls “saying” as calling those things that be not as though they were.
“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” – Romans 4:17
God renamed Abram as Abraham (meaning father of many nations) when he was naturally barren. Genesis 17:5. He also renamed Sarai as Sarah to fit into the agenda of God for the hour. Each time anyone called Abraham, they were prophesying without knowing (father of many nations); even if they were mockingly calling the name, they were still calling those things that be not as though they were. In the beginning of beginnings, God saw darkness but He called forth light and what He called forth showed up. Genesis 1:1-3. If you can see it in your heart (that is, understand what God says about your desire), the next step is to call those things forth and they are bound to show up.
Friends, we can always say what is written (in the Word of God) to change what is happening. It does not matter how contradictory what is happening to what is written, what is written would override what is happening and “good report” shall be obtained. The Bible says:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” – Hebrews 11:1-3
Say what is written; declare what you believe, confess the Word of God. Your good report will appear for all to see. The Word of God is seed. Luke 8:11. The word of man (what you say) is also seed. The Bible says that our justification or condemnation is a function of what we say. Matthew 12:37. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21.
