IT SHALL BE WELL II

IT SHALL BE WELL II

“Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” – Isaiah 3:10

We established from our text that it shall be well with the righteous not just anybody.  The question is how will it be well with the righteous?  Our text says “…they shall eat the fruit of their doings.”  It is assumed that the “doings” of the righteous is good.  Therefore, the ‘seed’ of the righteous’ “doings” is meant to produce fruit and harvest that will make it to be well with the righteous.

Therefore, the principle of seed time and harvest applies.  Genesis 8:20-22.  What the righteous sows is what he reaps.  Galatians 6:7.  We have established that the righteous is the one who has received the gift of righteousness through Jesus Christ.  Romans 5:17-18.  This is the starting point and not the end.

The righteous is one who believes God.  Abraham believed God and it was counted as righteousness for him.

“For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” – Romans 4:3, 5.

Faith is counted as righteousness before God.  The “doings” of righteousness connotes the “doings” of faith.  Every act of faith is always pleasing to God.  All shall be well as long as we believe God.  As long as we walk by faith and not by sight; all is bound to be well.  I Corinthians 5:7.

The reason is clear; the “doings” of faith will never be evil.  The “doings” of faith will always be good and good seed will always provoke good fruit as harvest.

Therefore, believers are meant to work the expected result out of any scriptural provision rather than waiting and watching expecting things to just happen.  We want it to be well?  We must be righteous; we must keep believing, we must keep walking by faith and not by sight, emotion or dictates of situations and circumstances around us.  If we will keep and abide by the rules; we will eat the fruits.  Believing for a while and backing off will never produce the desired result.  Luke 8:13.

If you are reading this and you are yet to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you have not started.  You need to do that now; go to the salvation page on our website, say the prayer there and be in church next Sunday to consolidate your decision.  Then, I can assure you that it shall be well with you.

If you are already a believer in Jesus Christ; are you walking by faith or by fate?  Many believers are circumstantial Christians.  They are ruled by situations and circumstances rather than what God says.  Some are even ruled by the five doors of their mind (their senses) rather than by the word of God.  It is time to straighten up and it shall be well with you!

PRAYER:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, give me the grace to walk by faith and not by sight to establish my righteousness before You.  I Corintians 5:7; Romans 4:3

Scriptures for meditation: Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:3-5

See you tomorrow!

Jesus is LORD!
