Modern technology of the Global Positioning System (GPS) has made locating addresses easier even if you have not been to the city, town, village, street or area before.  All you need to do is get hold of the correct address and put it on the system and you confidently continue to obey the direction hoping to arrive at your destination.

I got a call to a place that I had never been neither knew how to get there in sometime ago, to pray for a member who was in dire need of divine intervention.  I put the address on the GPS and there we went with the pastoral assistant.

Following the GPS was compulsory because we had no option; it was already getting dark.  We got to a place that appeared very dark as the GPS instructed that we kept going.  Few minutes later, still in the dark area; the GPS announced “You have arrived at your destination”.  The place was not only dark; the silence seemed thicker than the darkness. Looking very well at the area, it was discovered that it was a cemetery.  God forbid! We exclaimed! This was not our destination.  We reprogrammed the same address and eventually arrived at our destination to pray for the member and God honored the prayer with instant testimony.

Any other leading other than God’s can be wrong, faulty or even disastrous.  The Bible says:

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” – Proverb 14:12 repeated verbatim in Proverbs 16:25.

However, God’s leading is not only full of numerous benefits; it is foolproof, flawless and reliable.  Every true believer would love to be led by God but not every believer is actually led by Him.  The Bible says:

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” – Romans 8:14

Sons in our context is not talking about gender but spiritual maturity of believers.  Therefore, divine direction, divine guidance, divine leading is a proof of spiritual maturity.  God wants to lead every believer but spiritual maturity is a must in order to be led by Him.

You may have heard; “thus saith the Lord” or “the Lord told me” at different times.  Not all of those claims are bogus, many are genuine and honest.  God is still in the business of leading believers but He does that to the “sons”.

Therefore, believers either grow into “sons”, be led by God or groan under the pressure of delusion, illusion or misdirection.

If you are have not received Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and personal savior; don’t wait the next minute go to the salvation page on our website and pray the salvation prayer, then, be in church to publicly declare Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior; he died for you publicly!  Then get baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

If you are already a believer, you must get baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue.  Pray in the Holy Ghost for at least 15 minutes daily.  Remember, it is the Spirit of God that leads the sons of God; he does it through the man’s spirit.
