GRATITUDE PART VI

“At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.” – Psalm 119:62

The psalmist would wake up in the middle of the night just to appreciate God for His righteous judgments.  In the first place, the psalmist judged God both faithful and righteous.  God will ever judge righteously.  There is no iota of unrighteousness in God.  In the second place, God will never do wrong.  It means that the future is always good with God.  It means that we have the hope of experiencing good things as a result of God’s righteous judgement.  There is nothing to worry about.

Brethren, it a scripturally wise thing to lay the foundation of gratitude to God at the beginning of the year for the assurance of God’s righteous judgements all through the year.  You can never go wrong thanking God for His righteous judgements.  Such thanksgiving is an act of faith.  Faith will always move God to action.  Isaiah 53:1; Hebrews 11:6.  For instance, when we thank God for His righteous judgements at the beginning of the year, we compel Him by faith to maintain His righteous judgements concerning us throughout the year.

Friends, God’s righteous judgements keep the world running without issues.  The Sun, the Moon and all elements are obeying the ordinances of God.  The seas, the oceans, the wind and everything created by God are keeping the ordinances of God; all these are part of the righteous judgements of God.

We can be a candidates of the righteous judgements of God by subscribing to the mystery of gratitude as the foundation for the year ahead of us.  Nothing good is permitted to go wrong with you all through the year because of God’s righteous judgements.  No matter how wicked the devil and his cohorts have become; no matter how angry they are, they cannot hurt you because of God’s righteous judgements.
