GRATITUDE III

“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen waketh but in vain.  It is vain to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.” – Psalm 127:1-2

Man’s labor without God’s favor will never result into increase.  Man may plant, he may water; only the involvement of God brings increase.  I Corinthians 3:6.  You sure have experienced increases in diverse areas this year.  Whatever increase you have experienced this year is as a result of God’s involvement with you.  He is the invisible Hand that is making the visible hand produce result.  The reason why you can read this piece is because God has kept you for well over three hundred days; He gave you sleep each time you wanted to; He sustained you by waking you up from your sleep every time and at all times.  He has been your committed, consistent and faithful keeper 24/7:

“Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.  The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.” – Psalm 121:4-5

Therefore, for God’s unalloyed and unmitigated favor, mercies and love showered upon you thus far this year; He demands and commands an un-parallel gratitude because He deserves it.

Organizations and individuals do employ security personnel (with obvious limitations and deficiencies) and are obligated to pay those, wages and remunerations.  Gratitude is a well-deserved and earned virtue from man to God for all that He has done.  God deserves His glory because  His glory belongs to Him.

Medical people have prescriptions for insomnia (sleep disorder) but no one has been able to discover medication to wake people from sleep.  God gives His beloved sleep and wakes them up.  Psalm 3:5; Psalm 4:8.  Someone says; “You can buy good bed but only God gives sound sleep”.  If you can think well, you will thank more.  Waking up is not an automatic sequence to sleeping; waking up well obviously involves the GOOD KEEPER.  The evil of the night and day are real; but more real is the protective Arm of God upon and around His children.

You and I are consistent debtors of gratitude to God.  Glory be to God for His divine protection over us!
