“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.” – Jeremiah 29:11-14

God is mindful of you.  He wants to give you a new beginning.  He knows the future; He plans to be with us to fulfill His plan for our lives.  God’s thoughts about us are good; we are sure to arrive at the glorious destination with God in our company.  Having a revelation of God’s thoughts and plans for us will not just serve as a good source of encouragement but it will provoke us to call unto Him in prayer.

Brethren, we have a blank check to place a call through to God to receive help.  He promised not just to answer us but to make Himself available to turn any negative situation around us to amazing testimonies.  Even if it looks like things are working against you; recognize that God is still mindful of you.  He is ever thinking of you and His thought about you are not thoughts of someone trying to check the errors or mistakes of a fallible subordinate.  His thoughts are thoughts of a loving Father always seeking ways to help His children and ward.

Friends, the only demand placed on us by God (in our text today) is to seek Him with all the heart.  There are times or seasons when situations or circumstances could make us neglectful of God.  Instead of putting our trust in Him, we could be so carried away with things confronting us or things that we are confronting that we have our attention fragmented over so many things.  Rather than seeking God with divided attention; He wants and deserves all the attention.  We must fix our mind and heart on God and the interest of His kingdom; we must direct our mental and emotional effort towards God.  Whatever we do with the word of God or towards the word of God is what we do with God because God and His word are One.

It is high time we become mindful of God as He is mindful of us; when we become mindful of God as He is mindful of us, we will have no place in our mind to mind any other thing.  We cannot be truly mindful of God as He is mindful of us and has a place in our mind for worry, anxiety, and other destructive emotional responses.
