The word of a man carries the verbal expression of his integrity.  For instance, a liar is known by his/her word.  A liar is defined as a person who tells or speaks lies.  An honest person is also known by his/her word.

The Psalmist by the help of the Holy Spirit gave an insight into the integrity of God’s word when he said:

“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” – Psalm 138:2.

Remember that the name of the Lord is so powerful that it provides refuge to the righteous that runs into it.  Proverbs 18:10.  However, God’s word is magnified above all His name.

The Bible also says:

“Forever, O LORD, the word is settled in heaven.” – Psalm 119:89

God and His Word are One.  John 1:1.  The integrity of God is expressed through His word.  The infallibility of God is demonstrated through His word.  The word of God is not just authoritative; the word is foolproof and unbeatable.  The description above (concerning the word of God) is sweet when we talk about the promises of God.  These descriptions are also constant about the word of God when we talk about doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction.  II Timothy 3:16

The profitability of the word is only guaranteed when both sides of the word (the promises and responsibilities) are fully embraced.  God that cannot lie on the promises side; also cannot lie on the responsibilities side.

The Bible says:

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of God shall stand for ever.” – Isaiah 40:8

Accept and discharge responsibilities when and where you should, according to scriptures!
