Believers are not just meant to keep winning, never losing any battle; we are ordained to finish well, and finish strong.  Apostle Paul said:

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” – II Timothy 4:6-8

Apostle Paul said it was time for him to depart but he also said that he fought the good fight, finished his assignment, kept the faith, and was ready for the crown of righteousness.  His were definite statements of the state of things.  Let me quickly mention here that believers have the heritage of a long life.  In Genesis 6:3, God said it is 120 years; what a believer sees defines what he/she experiences.  Record has it that a French woman named Jeanne Louise Calment who was born on February 21, 1875, and died on August 4, 1997, lived 122 years and 164 days among so many that lived above 117 years some of whom are probably not believers.  It is clear that the body of man is supernaturally wired to exist for up to 120 years.

Brethren, if Apostle Paul fought a good fight, just any believer can fight a good fight.  Apostle Paul had the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with tongues so do any New Testament believers.  I Corinthians 14:18.  The same Holy Spirit that empowers Jesus Christ for the outstanding accomplishment of the miraculous is upon every believer that is baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with tongues.  Luke 4:18.

More often than not, the battles of life are spiritual.  The scriptures made it clear that we wrestle with unseen forces.  Ephesians 6:12.  In the same vein, our weapon of warfare is not natural (carnal) but spiritual to the pulling down of stronghold.  II Corinthians 10:3-5.

Friends, it is high time we used what we have extensively.  For instance, praying in the Holy Ghost is engaging both the human spirit and the Holy Spirit in warfare.  The Holy Spirit is the power of the Highest.  Luke 1:35.  You cannot engage the power of the Highest and return defeated in any battle of life.  It is beneficial for believers to pray in tongues for a reasonable length of time daily; doing this is putting oneself on the winning lane consistently.  You don’t have to wait for the battle; build-up before the battle (Jude vs 20) and you will discover that the battle has become a walkover.

Someone says that the secret of men is in their stories.  One of Apostle Paul’s secrets is definitely his connectedness to the supernatural which was facilitated (among other things) by his testimony of continuously speaking with tongues.  I Corinthians 14:18.  He cheated death several times, could not be killed nor molested yet he fought many battles!  Yours is the next victory story!
