DIVINE NATURE III

DIVINE NATURE PART III

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:24

God is not flesh and blood; God is a Spirit.  He is the Spirit of the Highest and the Highest Spirit.  Luke 1:35.  He is the sinless and just Spirit.  The Spirit of God is not constrained by physical limitations.

We understand from scriptures that man is created as a three-in-one being.  The Bible says:

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – I Thessalonians 5:23

Brethren, man is essentially a spirit, he has a soul and he lives in a body.  The spirit attribute of man became amplified at the new birth.  John 3:6.  It is important to note that every man is a spirit; if born again, the spirit is connected to the Spirit of God but if not born again; the spirit is disconnected from God and connected to the devil.   The devil is also a spirit but an evil one characterized by evil attributes.

The good news is that the part of man that plays host to God is his spirit.  It is the spirit of man that lost fellowship with God when man fell; this is the spiritual death.  Remember that God warned man against disobedience that the consequence was death.  Alas! Man disobeyed and he consequently died; his spirit was disconnected from the Spirit of God.

The ultimate of God’s plan as regards man’s spirit is for the spirit of man to be so knit with the Spirit of God to the point of becoming one.  It takes a developed human spirit to be one with the Spirit of God.  Just like the intellect of man can be developed and the muscles of man can also be developed; man’s spirit can equally be developed.

Friends, it takes intense and consistent meditation in the word of God to develop the human spirit.  When a man’s spirit is mature; it becomes a good guide for decisions and choices.  An undeveloped human spirit can collaborate with the flesh to lead man astray.  Remember that the flesh is susceptible to the dictate of the devil.  That is why all influences of the devil oven man are through his flesh.

Moses in Egypt was speaking as “god”.  Exodus 7:1.  His spirit was so developed to the point that whatever he said was what God said.  We can be so developed in our spirit that our thought becomes God’s thoughts, our words become God’s word and our acts become God’s acts.  Arriving at this point puts us in command of all things.  We begin to do as occasion pleases us.  We begin to manifest as “gods” on the earth indeed.

We can begin the journey of developing our spirits today.  Start as small as fifteen minutes daily to meditate on the word of God and another fifteen minutes to speak in tongues.  In the second month, increase it to thirty minutes meditation and thirty minutes speaking in tongues and third months, increase it to one-hour meditation, and one hour speaking in tongues.  You will discover that when you say something, it will happen exactly as you have said; you spirit is already courting a strong fellowship with the Spirit of God.  Never get carried away or pumped up that you said something and it came to pass.  Rather, get busy building up more and more.  Along the line, have a scheduled daily reading of the word of God!

As a partaker of the divine nature, the world is waiting for you.  You shall be a blessing to generations yet unborn!

Scriptures for meditation: Joshua 1:5-9; Psalm 1:1-3; I Timothy 4:13, 15-16

Jesus is Lord!
