Being called and chosen out of so many gives joy. Being ordained (appointed, prepared and set apart) gives greater joy. However, knowing that “Chooser” and the “Ordainer” is the probably the president of a nation will be a big testimony. On the other hand, being sure that the Almighty is behind the “choice” and “ordination” is eternally refreshing. The implication of the latter is that the reward of the exercise cannot be imagined.
As a matter of fact, believers are called, chosen and ordained to represent God on the earth. The Bible says:
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” – II Corinthians 5:17-20
God the Father sacrificed the Son, and God the Son sacrificed His life to choose believers; the Trinity empowers believers with the Holy Ghost to represent divinity on the earth. This makes every believer an ambassador of Christ. The core duty of every ambassador of Christ is the ministry of reconciliation. Believers have been given the ministry of reconciliation; having been reconciled to God first and now charged with the task of reconciling the world back to God. Reconciling the world back to God simply means soul winning, soul ingathering and soul establishment.
The essence of soul winning, soul ingathering and soul establishment is to bring the “lost” world back to God and get them to remain with God. Just like every natural ambassador is authorized and officially empowered by the state to represent their country; he or she has important responsibilities of acting on the behalf of his or her nation, Christ ambassadors (believers) have an important commission of acting on the behalf of God by ‘turning many’ back to Him.
Many believers run after the benefits and blessings of being named in the family of God but it is wisdom to pay more attention to the duties of being in the family. For instance, when we get committed to the ministry of reconciliation as ambassadors of Christ; the perks of our office as ambassadors automatically flow to us.
If you are reading this and you have not received Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and personal Savior; God allowed this to come your way because He has called you, you can become one of the few chosen of God out of the many he calls by receiving Jesus Christ into your heart today as your Lord and personal Savior. Go to the salvation page on our website; say the prayer there and be in church next Sunday to consolidate your decision. This is the foundation requiredto be chosen and empowered as an ambassador of Christ on the earth. The reward is outstanding and unimaginable!
As a believer, you are an ambassador of Christ empowered to reconcile the world to Christ. You can boldly tell anyone that: “Jesus sent me to you”. You have not lied or exaggerated anything, you are only making a statement of truth. As an ambassador of Christ whatever you declare in the process of reconciling people to Christ will be upheld and accompanied with signs and wonders.
