CHOSEN AND ORDAINED III

We established from scriptures that believers are chosen.  To be chosen in our context is to be preferred above other options.  The Bible says:

“Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.” – Deuteronomy 10:15

Believers are preferred above all other people (by God) for a purpose.  Believers are also ordained.  We understand from scriptures that ordination could mean appointment or empowerment.  Luke 10:1; Acts 1:8.  It could also mean being prepared for a purpose.  God said:

“Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,” – I Chronicles 17:9

He also said:

“Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,” – I Samuel 7:10

The word “ordain” used in the former scripture was interchangeably used as “appoint” in the latter scripture.  Commenting on how He (God) would bring them to the land, He said:

“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.” – Exodus 23:20

From the above, the ordained place is the appointed place and also the prepared place. Therefore, every believer ordained is appointed and also prepared.  Just like newly appointed employees of organizations go through induction to prepare them for their assignment, believers are selected, appointed and prepared for divine assignment of witnessing Christ to the world.  God invested His best in choosing and preparing believers.  This He did for a purpose, the purpose is for believers to multiply themselves in the God’s kingdom; to populate heaven and depopulate hell.

Heaven is real. Hell is also real but hell was prepared for the devil and the fallen angels and not for man.  Matthew 25:41.  Therefore, God chooses and prepares believers to reach out to others to give everyone on the earth opportunity choose to heaven or otherwise.  Gleaning understanding from scriptures, anyone that enters hell chooses to go there because he/she rejects heaven not because God sends him/her there.

Believers are chosen and prepared for full-time soul winning, soul ingathering and soul establishment to fulfil divine agenda of populating heaven.  If believers are paying lip service to soul winning; it is a misplace of priority.  If believers are handling soul winning with levity; it amounts to wasting precious resources of God.

If you are reading this and you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior; it is not a coincidence that you are reading this, it is because God has called you, and you can be among the few chosen out of the many He has called.  Go to the salvation page on our website, say the prayer there and be in church next Sunday to consolidate your decision. It is the best decision anyone can ever take on the earth!

Remember, as believers, it costs God His best treasures to choose, appoint and to prepare you; you cannot avoid to waste God’s precious resources.  He hates waste.  John 6:12.  Get on the go for soul winning today and consistently too.  The reward is enormous.
