When things are going great; it is natural to have many people around as friends, well-wishers and even “face-full” acquitances.  The Bible says:

“Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.” – Proverbs 19:4

“The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.” – Proverbs 14:20

The rich has many friends not necessarily because the friends care but because there are things to enjoy; wealth, influence and some good things that money can buy.  In most cases, when things are down, those friends would disappear into the thin air.  In certain part of the world, when someone is given a political appointment of wins an election; there would be floods of congratulatory messages in all the available tabloids.  Those messages are not really a show of love, some are mere business strategies.  If for any reason, the individual loses the position; the sponsors of those congratulatory messages may not even greet their once “positioned friend”.

Arnold Schwarznegger, the 38th governor of California State, United States of America was captured in the news some time ago sleeping in the front of an hotel he had once opened when he was the governor.  Responding to questions why that happened; he said when he was the governor of California State, he had a room reserved for him in the hotel that he could use at any time without the normal protocol but to his amazement he was asked to pay and follow the regular protocol like any other person just because he was no longer in power.  It seemed that some people had forsaken him.

Brethren, God has vowed never to leave us nor forsake us.  He said:

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” – Hebrews 13:5

God’s verdict never to leave nor forsake us is anchored on His love and not on what we have done or not done.  He has vowed never to fail us!

“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” – Joshua 1:5

Friends, to have this kind of assurance from God and still subject ourselves to anxiety and worry is casting aspersion on God that He is not able or willing to deliver what He declared.  The good news is that God is not just able; He is willing and has already performed what He declared.  We only enter into the reality of His provision when we subscribe fully to the demands of His promise.

Cast your cares upon Him; trust Him.  Demonstrate these by obeying Him with joy and do that tirelessly.  No matter how today looks like; your tomorrow is great!  You are in the best Hands (the Hands of God)!

If you are reading this piece and you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior, the journey of trouble-free life begins with new birth, you must do that now.  All good things are ready for you!

His love for us is out of this world!  He will never leave nor forsake us!  No matter what is confronting you, remember that God is with you and in you.  The One that is in you and with you is greater than anything and everyone confronting you.  Relax!
