CASTING YOUR CARES ON HIM! PART III
The cares of this world are the fundamental basis for tension in many peoples’ lives, homes, and relationships. It could be the reason behind many atrocities in our society today. Someone will go to any length to take care of stuff and create many other cares. Jesus instructed believers to:
“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:25-33
Brethren, don’t worry like the world; don’t get anxious like them, do not fret like they do. As a matter of fact, Jesus said that worry will deliver nothing positive other than negative. He said that God has not lost consciousness of your basic needs. God demonstrated this by constantly providing the needs of lesser creatures like flora and fauna. None of the creatures in any group of flora and fauna was created in the image of God and after His likeness. Man was created in the image of God and after His likeness. Genesis 1:26. By creation, man is God’s property. Psalm 100:3. By redemption, we were adopted into the family of God. Romans 8:15
Friends, stop thinking how God will do what He said He would do. That is not your business. Start obeying His instructions. We are called to seek God first and His righteousness, then, watch how He adds all other things (that others are anxious, worrying and running around for) to us without sweat or struggle. It is good to have a good profession, vocation or job but this is not a function of those; rather, it is a function of our alignment to the validity of His counsel.
Stop destroying yourself with worry, anxiety and fears of tomorrow! Start putting God and the interest of His kingdom first. This is not cheap religious talk or admonition. It is the trans-generational truth ordained to make our life meaningful now and give us a place in eternity with Jesus Christ. You cannot handle anything by yourself, allow Him to do everything for you as He promised!
If you are reading this and you have not received Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and personal Savior; time is running out, you need to do that now. All things are ready for you!
