“The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord saying, Thus speaketh
the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken
unto thee in a book. For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will
bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord:
and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and
they shall possess it.” – Jeremiah 30:1-3
Just like God spoke to the natural Israel and Judah as seeds of Abraham
that He would turn their captivity; same goes for every New Testament
saint as a seed of Abraham by redemption. Galatians 3:28-29. God is out
to turn the captivity of every New Testament saint because of His
compassion (which cannot fail). Jeremiah 12:15-16; Lamentation 3:22
It is important to recognize that God demands everyone to turn to Him so
as to be a beneficiary of His captivity-turning power. Restoration is not in
view until one returns to the Almighty. Job 22:23. As long as man is
playing games of one-leg-in and one-leg-out with God; his captivity
To return to the Almighty in our context is to:
 Get closer to God;
 Be a doer of His word;
 Live holy;
 Subscribe fully to seeking God and the interest of His kingdom.
The God you will not obey or choose to obey at your convenience will
never be moved to engage His captivity-turning power in your direction.
As you choose to give yourself wholly to servicing His interest, He will go
to any length to turning your captivity again and again.
