BEFORE THEY CALL VI

“For there is no respect of persons with God.” – Romans 2:11

God does not have favorites; yet God has ‘peculiar treasures’ and ‘unique choices’.  The Bible says:

“Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:” – Exodus 19:5

For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.” – Psalm 135:4

Every mortal has equal opportunity with God.  Those that obey His voice and keep His commandments have become peculiar treasure to Him above all people.  It is one’s response to God that defines one’s placement with God. In the same vein, some people will call in prayer and God said He would not hear.

Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.” – Isaiah 65:12-14

We also understand from scriptures that normal children of God will need to call in prayer to receive answers.  The Bible says:

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” – Matthew 7:7-8

This is already a ‘testimony’ to call and receive answers; to seek and find and to knock and have the door opened.  It is refreshing to call in prayer and receive answers from God. It is more amazing to receive response from God without calling.  Let us look at the following scriptures:

And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.  They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” – Isaiah 65:21-24 (emphasis mine)

God has ordained that the elects of God have the heritage of receiving answers before they ask and securing divine audience while they are yet speaking.  The next question to answer is; who are the elects of God? According to scriptures, the elects are the servants of God. The Bible says:

“Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.” – Isaiah 42:1

It goes without saying that serving God is the gateway to the realm of receiving without asking and securing audience while yet speaking.  It should be understood that it is serving God continuously, consistently and dedicatedly over a period of time that qualifies one to be called a servant of God.  It takes being addicted to serving God to be called a servant of God just like it takes repeated intake of substance to be called an addict of that substance. Let us get addicted to serving God; the reward is more than just once in a while blessing.

It is also important for us to mention that serving God is not just running around in a Church but adding value.  We must deliberately, consistently and dedicatedly add value to the kingdom and to any spiritual system we are privileged to belong to, as we are enabled by God.
