The Bible says:

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” – Ezekiel 22:30

God is ever seeking for a man, among so many men; a man who will be committed to leading people back to God.  A man who would be sold out to seeing souls harvested into the kingdom.  A man who will give his all to seeing souls established in the kingdom of God.  A man who has taken it upon himself to depopulate hell and populate heaven.  A man who is more concerned about God’s kingdom than he is about his personal interest.

As believers in Jesus Christ the journey begins with living out the principles of God not just professing religion and having a contrary lifestyle to what we profess.  We cannot give appearance to loving God without loving His way; that is hypocritical.

The company of believers that God responds to before they call in prayer are those who are committed to living out the principles of God and sold out to seeing the advancement of the kingdom of God on the earth.

The following testimony of man I engaged in discussion some time ago got me excited.  He was very consistent in our first service (we ran three services on Sundays then) which commenced by 7.00am.  He sat on the front row and on the same seat almost every Sunday.  He was too conspicuous to be missed despite the size of the church.

In our rapport, the man revealed that he was never evangelized or invited to the church.  He said he came to the church through one of his colleagues in the church having studied the colleague for a long time; he admired the way the colleague carried/comported himself and responded to things.  He said that he told himself that he needed to know this man and his secret.  He discovered that he was a Christian and attended this church.  Therefore, he started attending the church.  He said that his colleague just saw him in the church and asked who invited him; little did he know that he invited him through his lifestyle.

The opposite is the case in many so called believers’ situation.  Their lifestyle is rather de-preaching the Gospel and propagating negative evangelism than bringing souls into the kingdom.  This is not the way to join the company of “…before they call…”

The company of “…before they call, I will answer; and why they are yet speaking, I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24); is the company of intercessors engaging in kingdom advancement prayers and living a scripturally balanced lifestyle to match.

Don’t use religion as a ‘whitewash’; let the word of God define your lifestyle and stand in the gap consistently and committedly for the advancement of God’s kingdom.  That is how to enlist in the company of “…before they call…”
