Jesus commands us to have faith in God.  It is written:

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” – Mark 11:22

God expects us to have faith in Him and like Him.  He also demands us to be as to be holy as He is.  Faith like God is at the mercy of our holiness like Him.  The strength of our faith is in direct proportion to the strength of our holiness.

Abraham did not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief, he was strong in faith giving glory to God.  Romans 4:20.  However, another scriptural word for holiness is obedience.  Abraham obeyed God and it was accounted unto him for righteousness.  Galatians 3:6; Romans 4:3

Sin entered into the world as a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience.  The Bible says:

“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” – Genesis 3:16-17

Adam and Eve simply disobeyed the above instruction from God and sin found its way into the world.  Consequently they lost the nature of God and took on the nature of the devil.  Everything that was in ‘God likeness’ in them got shut down.

Inspiration, revelation and faith will continue to flourish at the instance of holiness.  Without it, everything is shut down.

Confession of faith without holiness is confusion and delusion.  Your cannot claim to be walking in faith or living by faith as the scriptures demand without clearly walking and living in holiness as demanded and commanded by God in scriptures is nothing but spiritual illusion.

Testimonies should never be mistaken to holiness; it could be an invitation to live holy henceforth.  Jesus told the man at pool of Bethesda (that was impotent for 38 years) after He healed him:

“…Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, less a worse thing come unto thee.” – John 5:14

Don’t be deceived, your last miracle, breakthrough or testimony could be an invitation by the Master (Jesus Christ) to live holy henceforth just like He told that man at the pool of Bethesda.  Don’t ever mistake divine intervention you got as comprehensive divine approval.  Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

We cannot experience the best of God without holiness.  Be ye holy!
