BE YE HOLY II

We understand that Zion is God’s dwelling place.  Joel 3:17, 21.  Zion is meant to be the most holy place on earth.  The church of Jesus Christ is the New Testament Zion.  Zion in the New Testament is not restricted to a physical structure but the body of believers which is the body of Christ.  I Corinthians 12:12-13, 27.  The Head of the body is Jesus Christ.  Colossians 1:13-18; Ephesians 5:23; Ephesians 1:20-23.  The Head of Zion (the church and dwelling place of God) knew no sin.  II Corinthians 5:21.  The body should have the same status as the head.  Where the body does not have the same status with the head something is fundamentally wrong.  The Bible says:

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” – Hebrews 12:14

Many people are appearing physically in church today but do not really belong to the body; therefore, they are not allowed to ‘…see the Lord’ because they do not look like Him.  Jesus Christ said “…verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” – John 3:3.  Sin blocks the sinner’s vision of God; until it is removed, the sinner can neither see God nor His kingdom.  Seeing His kingdom is experiencing His power on the earth because the kingdom of God is not in words but in power.  I Corinthians 4:20.

Without holiness maximizing the potentials of redemption on the earth remains a day dream; reigning with Him in eternity is absolutely impossible.

Spiritual activities are reduced to burdensome and profit-less ventures without holiness.  Holy is what to be to make a meaning out of all that God requires us to do as believers.  You cannot bribe God with your offering or even your tithe while allowing the seed of iniquity to grow root deeper in you and bear fruits abundantly out of you.

Do you really want to see God; be holy!
