“…AND HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED…” PART I
Wonderful! Full of wonders! Jesus! The Bible says:
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21
How can one person pay for the sins of the whole world? The answer is wonderful! How can one person save the whole world from their sins? The answer is “Full of wonders”. There is no other name given under heaven whereby we must be saved other than the name of Jesus.
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12
Anyone that rejects the name of Jesus has rejected life both in the now and in the eternity. John 10:10. No matter how anyone feels about the name, no matter what anyone thinks about the name, no matter anyone’s opinion or perception about the name; it is important to receive the name so as to receive the purpose of the name – salvation. The name Jesus is full of wonders; anyone that receives the name automatically enters the realm of wonders. In the name Jesus is life; that life is the life that gives life. The good news is that anyone on the earth has God given power to choose the name or reject the name. John 3:16. Choosing the name is choosing life while rejecting or ignoring the name is embracing destruction. The Bible says:
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” – John 3:18-20
Receiving the name is tantamount to believing the name. Believing the name is accepting, admitting and affirming that what the Bible says about the name and the owner of the name is the truth and absolute truth. Once this is established, the journey of wonders has commenced. One cannot totally subscribe to the name full of wonders and end up living a common and ordinary life.
Brethren, with the name of Jesus at your disposal, access to signs and wonders is guaranteed at all times and everywhere. The name “Jesus” is not an ordinary name. The name is loaded with any kind of wonder. The name will deliver any kind of wonder; from healing to deliverance and to breakthrough of any kind. The name was given to save us from our shortcomings (sins). Please note that calling the name is not equal to receiving or believing the name. It is possible to call the name without having first receive the name. It is only those that have received the name that would ever call on the name and receive the desired result.
Apostle Peter confessed that they did not have anything to give to the cripple at the gate called beautiful; not even a dime! They were so financially and materially low that there was nothing (physical) of value in their possession when they were confronted with the beggar. However, Apostle Peter said that they had the name in their possession. True, they called the name and they saw the wonder of the cripple getting healed. Acts 3:1-8.
Friends, many people want to see that kind of wonder today but they would rather wait until they are at the point of need to try to use the name. It is like trying to spend the money you don’t yet have in your possession whether in the bank or in your wallet. Your guess is as good as mine. Mere calling the name is not what delivers result, it is having the name that does. Having the name means receiving and believing the name.
Do you have the name? Assumption is dangerous. It is the mother of frustrations!
